Global Conversations Podcast: Canada’s UN Ambassador for Climate Change, Patricia Fuller & Deputy Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada, Dr. Stephen Lucas

For the third and final installment of the Green Scene podcast series, co-hosts Erica Wilson and Mohit Bagri sit down to discuss two events held by the Environmental Governance Lab with Canada’s UN Ambassador for Climate Change, Patricia Fuller, and Deputy Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada, Dr. Stephen Lucas. Together they discuss how Canada is advancing climate change action on the international stage as well as some of the hidden costs associated with the clean energy transition. Key themes include UN climate negotiations, renewable energy, sustainable mining, and vulnerabilities in minerals and metals supply chain.

This podcast series is produced in partnership with the Environmental Governance Lab at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy which is a research hub that focuses on the development of new ideas and tools to respond to the challenge of environmental governance at multiple scales.

This podcast also received support from the University of Toronto’s School of Cities which convenes urban-focused researchers, educators, students, practitioners, and the general public to explore and address complex urban challenges, with the aim of making cities and urban regions more sustainable, prosperous, inclusive and just.
